I am one very handsome boy who is independent and happy to survey my kingdom. I do enjoy head pets, but I am not one of those needy cats. I am a stickler for routine and prefer that it stay that way, or else I will come see what the hold-up is. I have a tiny meow and soft purr. I am a great cat for someone who just wants a companion cat who just needs a great retirement home. #purrfectroommatekitty
About my Behaviour:
I must be adopted by Zoomer, as we are bffs. We get stressed if we are apart, especially initially, but once settled in, we are more inclined to do our own thing from time to time. Sometimes even though you love your brother, you need your alone time too.
We must go to a home that is very calm and is very understanding of how shy we are. We will take quite a while to settle in, and you must be ok with that. Slow pets and slowly increasing it over time are essential; otherwise, we would hide all the time. Using wand toys will help with our confidence and Feliway Optimum too. Oh, and I love Churu treats, I am not opposed to treat bribery.
We might be ok with a calm senior dog who will just leave us alone. It would probably be best that we are only cats, given our very shy nature.
Sometimes when I get overwhelmed, I will hiss, but I don't lash out. I just go to my safe space to be alone and de-stress.
Just so you know, I do know how to open cupboards, doors, and drawers. Food and treats should all be kept in enclosed containers only.
How’s my Health?
I am fully vetted. I must only be fed scheduled meals, three times a day (morning, after work and before bed). This will help make our bond strong more quickly. It's possible to do twice a day and just leave out a tiny bit of dry, but not alot as Zoomer will get fat. I am currently on gabapentin for my anxiety. I should stay on it for at least a month after adoption to help me settle in more quickly. It's fairly cheap and Zoe's will provide whatever medication we have left at the time of adoption.
