Rescue Story:

I was living as an outdoor dog and came into care while delivering my 5 puppies in a truck. Luckily, Zoe's was able to give me a warm, safe space to raise my babies. Now that my fleet of puppies have rolled off the lot and are cruising on their own adventures, I'm ready to shift gears and find a forever home of my own.

Critter Twitter:

I'm Cheyenne, a gentle soul with a big heart and a bit of a rough start, just like a classic truck that needs a little warm-up before it runs smoothly. I weathered some rough roads before coming into care but I'm already cruising comfortably in my foster home as an indoor dog now that I have discovered the joys of a warm bed, steady meals and couch snuggles.

I am shy around new people but once you gain my trust, I am as loyal and steady as they come. If you’re the kind of person who enjoys earning trust, going slow, and forming a deep bond, I could be your perfect companion. My low-mileage heart is just waiting for the right driver to take me home!

About my Behaviour:

I am house trained, quiet and non-destructive. I enjoy walks around the neighbourhood and am a natural loose-leash walker. I am fine to be left alone at home without being crated but I do enjoy my crate as a safe space and sleep and nap in it with the door open. I have a playful side that comes out with my favourite people and dogs but am generally calm and reserved around the house. As I build trust and bond with you, you'll be rewarded with seeing more of my personality emerge and more of your affection returned. To ensure we get off on the right paw, my adopters will be required to sign up for force-free training. You can find a list of great trainers at www.albertaforcefreealliance.com.

How’s my Health?

I will be spayed, up to date on my vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped.
