Esmé Antonella Umbrella   |   Female   |   Orphan Neonate (DSH)   |

Rescue Story:

I was found all alone on a walking path in Sherwood Park when I was approximately seven days old. I was so tiny, but kind humans got me to safety, and soon I was tucked into an incubator — warm, cozy, and very loved.
In the incubator, I was fed every two hours, and I did my very best at growing and snoozing. Thanks to all that care, I’m now thriving and ready to find my forever home.

Good with Dogs? Very specific dog(s) only
I am tiny, it's best no dogs or very calm dogs who will leave me alone just to ensure I won't get hurt.
Good with Cats? Must have a cat friend
I must have a young kitty playmate, but will be fine with seniors as long as I have my young playmate.
Good with Kids? Maybe
I can be a bit bitey (not aggressive--I just like to play), I could startle young children. If they're understanding, I will most likely get along with them. Due to my small size its important they are gentle with me.

Critter Twitter:

I’m a very small, soft-hearted girl who likes to take things at my own pace. I enjoy playing with my siblings, but I often prefer to watch first before joining in. When I’m ready to rest, I’m all about snuggles — tucked into a cozy sweater or blanket, curled on your chest or lap, or held close in your arms.

I’m very affectionate with just a hint of sass. I show my love with purrs, cuddles, and the sweetest little nose, chin, and cheek nibbles — it’s all love, I promise. I may be small, but I have a big personality.

About my Behaviour:

Because I’m still tiny, I feel safest with a sibling to follow or a loving human keeping an eye on me. I adore gentle wrestling, cuddling up with my sibling, and checking out whatever they are playing with. I’m curious, but cautious, and I like having time to feel brave. I do best with other young, playful kittens and would love to be adopted with a young sibling. I’ve also done well with a calm senior cat and know when to give space, as long as I have a young kitty playmate. What I want most is a warm, patient home where I can keep growing, cuddling, and being loved.

How’s my Health?

I need to be spayed soon, but I've been microchipped, and dewormed. The number of vaccines I need will depend on the length of care. I need at least one meal of wet food daily for hydration. Wet food is essential for kitties, so please ensure it's included in my diet. Wet food is higher in protein and can be lower in carbs. It also provides added moisture, which is important, as dry-food-only-fed cats tend to be dehydrated, potentially leading to UTIs.
