Inky Donkey | Female | Heeler Mix |
Rescue Story:
My siblings and I were an accidental litter and our owners were unable to find homes for us. Zoe's stepped in and brought us into care so that we could find furever homes that will raise us right and keep us safe.
Date of Birth: June 5, 2026 (est)
Energy Level: High - I'm an active, smart, and playful puppy who will also be a high energy adult!
Size (adult): Medium (currently 16lbs)
Adoption Fee: $450 Steal of a deal for ALL this cuteness
Good with Dogs? Yes
I am very playful and have good social skills, but sometimes when dogs play with other dogs I think I need to herd them.
Good with Cats? Maybe
Dog savvy cats only. I think they should play with me and for some reason they don't always appreciate that.
Good with Kids? No
13+ only please, I find younger, playful children too tempting to jump up and nip at when they move quickly.
Critter Twitter:
Hi, I’m Inky but you can call me Tink (everyone does)! I’m a fun little lady with loads of personality, so I hope you enjoy smart, spunky puppies! I’m an active girly who loves to zoom around the backyard, chasing my foster siblings or fetching a rolling frisbee. Foster mom has been teaching me to have an “off switch” so I can settle and chill out when playtime is over. That’s really important for a working breed like me! I’ve also been learning better social skills with other dogs in my foster home, and play well with smaller puppies, big dogs, and everything in between. I do love to play, so elderly dogs or grumpy adults probably wouldn’t enjoy my energetic presence. I’m quite agile for my age, and love to play herding games or practice new tricks so if you’re curious about getting into dog sports, I’d love to join you! If you’re looking for a fun-loving, super-smart puppy to go on adventures with, I’m your girl!
About my Behaviour:
I’m smart as a whip and really enjoy working for my meals - whether it’s a puzzle toy or foster mom teaching me a new trick to challenge my brain, I just love to learn and work! I’m a total dream in my crate and sleep well in it whenever you send me to it. I’m also great in the car! I’m doing well with my potty training and I know tons of basic (and more advanced) obedience cues. I can get mouthy sometimes when I’m overdue for a nap, but I’m getting much better at remembering that people aren’t for chomping! I do sometimes bark at big dogs out on walks, even though I really like other dogs. Sometimes they just catch me by surprise and I forget I’m not the only dog out in the world! As a condition of adoption, we must register for a force free, in-person, group training class for puppies. We'll learn so much and bond and I can have some socializing time with other dogs in a safe environment, which is really critical for young pups! Please check out www.albertaforcefreealliance.com for some great force free trainers!
How’s my Health?
I am spayed, up to date on my vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped. Zoe's cannot guarantee what breeds are in me or my size as an adult.
