Critter Twitter:

Hi there - Koop here! I'm just a little bundle of love. I am learning how to play and relax, and will bring my toys back to you to play tug or throw. I really love cuddling and giving kisses with my humans! I just like to be around my people - it helps me feel loved and save. I need a family who will be patient with me, and help me learn that most things really aren't scary - we could work on desensitization and relaxation protocols, which would really help my little anxious self. #anxioussweetie

About my Behaviour:

Because of my anxiety, I am currently on medications that were recommended by my vet and trainer. As my confidence builds, and with time and training, I may be able to go off the meds. I have got into a couple of spats with my foster dog sibling, and when my foster mom tries to remove me from the spat, I have nipped at her - it's because I was so stressed with the situation! A condition of adoption is a mandatory training class together with a force free trainer - it will help me so much with my confidence and will be a great bonding opportunity for us! Zoe's recommends trainers that can be found here: www.albertaforcefreealliance.com. I'm only looking for a family who are experienced with dogs, and the potential adopter will meet with the trainer who is working with me.

I am house trained and crate trained!

How’s my Health?

It's kind of weird - but I am prone to vomiting. Medical testing has been done and no found cause. So it's best to limit my food and water intake to reduce risk of vomiting. I take an antacid pre meals. My foster mom got me an elevated bowl and feeds me an hour or so after I wake up once the excitement and anxiety of the morning has settled down.

I've had knee surgery to correct subluxing patella, and I have an elongated palate.

The great people at Zoe's helped me get surgery, and I'm recovering well!

I'm neutered, microchipped, and up to date on my vaccinations.
