Monk Panda   |   Male   |   Mixed Breed   |

Rescue Story:

I was originally born in care with Zoe's and was adopted out as a young puppy. Unfortunately I was having a hard time with the young children in the home so now I'm back and looking for a second chance at furever love.

Date of Birth: May 7, 2025

Energy Level: Medium-High - I still have puppy energy but my off-switch is pretty good.

Size (adult): Large (approx 70lbs)

Adoption Fee: $450 Steal of a deal for ALL this cuteness

Good with Dogs? Yes
I love other dogs! Sometimes I come on a little strong but with proper intros I'm good at making friends.
Good with Cats? Maybe
I'm currently fostered with a cat and am curious and want to play but should be fine with a dog savvy cat and continued training.
Good with Kids? Maybe
Older kids who can respect my boundaries would be best.

Critter Twitter:

Hi! I’m Monk, but my friends call me Patch. I’m a smart, affectionate, treat-loving puppy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. I adore my people and like to be wherever they are — kitchen, couch, bed… if you’re there, I probably want to be too. If you talk to me, you might notice my adorable head tilt while I listen closely — it really looks like I’m trying to understand every word you’re saying! I love walks, sniffing adventures, training games, and enrichment activities that let me use my brain and my nose. I’m happiest in a home where my humans enjoy working with me, cheering me on, and helping me grow into a confident adult dog. I’m a smart guy who enjoys learning and responds really well to positive reinforcement training. Like many young dogs, I’m currently in my teenage phase and still figuring out the world. I can sometimes feel anxious in new situations, but with routine, enrichment, and patient guidance I continue to build confidence every day. I’d do best in a home that’s active, home often, and excited to continue positive-reinforcement training. With the right people, I’m going to make a wonderfully loyal companion — especially if you enjoy a dog who listens closely with the cutest head tilt around.

About my Behaviour:

I am fully house trained and doing well with crate training, and I’m continuing to build confidence relaxing on my own. I’m still a young dog in my adolescent phase, so I’m working on my manners like loose-leash walking, calm greetings, and keeping all four paws on the floor when I get excited. I absolutely love other dogs and enjoy playing with them, but I can get very excited when I see them on walks and may bark or lunge because I want to say hello. I can sometimes feel unsure when meeting new people and may bark when I’m nervous, but once I warm up I’m a very affectionate companion. I also get a little mouthy during play, which is common for young dogs and something I’m learning better manners around. I share toys well, but I’m still learning about sharing high-value treats and chews with other dogs. I’m very food motivated and eager to learn, and my foster family is excited to see how my anxiety medication helps support my training and confidence as I continue to grow. As a condition of adoption, we must register for a force free, in-person, group training class. We’ll learn so much and bond and I can have some socializing time with other dogs in a safe environment, which is really critical for young pups! How’s my Health?

I am neutered, up to date on my vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped. I am also currently taking daily anxiety medication to help me feel calmer and more confident while I continue working on my training and adjustment to new situations. Zoe’s cannot guarantee what breeds are in me or my size as an adult.
