Monk Panda | Male | Mixed Breed |
Rescue Story:
I was originally born in care with Zoe's and was adopted out as a young puppy. Unfortunately I was having a hard time with the young children in the home so now I'm back and looking for a second chance at furever love.
Date of Birth: May 7, 2025
Energy Level: Medium-High - I still have puppy energy but my off-switch is pretty good.
Size (adult): Large (approx 70lbs)
Adoption Fee: $450 Steal of a deal for ALL this cuteness
Good with Dogs? Yes
I love other dogs! Sometimes I come on a little strong but with proper intros I'm good at making friends.
Good with Cats? Maybe
I'm currently fostered with a cat and am curious and want to play but should be fine with a dog savvy cat and continued training.
Good with Kids? Maybe
Older kids who can respect my boundaries would be best.
Critter Twitter:
Hi! I’m Monk, but my friends call me Patch. I’m a smart, affectionate, treat-loving puppy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. I adore my people and like to be wherever they are — kitchen, couch, bed… if you’re there, I probably want to be too. I love walks, sniffing adventures, training games, and enrichment activities that let me use my brain and my nose. I’m happiest in a home where my humans enjoy working with me, cheering me on, and helping me grow into a confident adult dog. I can settle and relax once my needs are met, especially with a good chew or some couch time with my people. I’d do best in a home that’s active, home often, and excited to continue positive-reinforcement training. I’m still learning confidence and independence, and I really thrive with reassurance, structure, and consistency.
About my Behaviour:
I am fully house trained. I am working on crate training and do well in there for a few hours but am still building confidence being alone. I'm still very much a puppy and sometimes forget my manners. I'm working on loose-leash walking, calm greetings, and keeping all four paws on the floor. I'm very food motivated and eager to learn! I do sometimes bark or lunge when seeing other dogs or people on walks, I get very excited and a little anxoius. As a condition of adoption, we must register for a force free, in-person, group training class. We'll learn so much and bond and I can have some socializing time with other dogs in a safe environment, which is really critical for young pups! Please check out www.albertaforcefreealliance.com for some great force free trainers!
How’s my Health?
I am neutered, up to date on my vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped. Zoe's cannot guarantee what breeds are in me or my size as an adult.
