Critter Twitter:
Hi, I’m Oska! I’m always looking for love and will happily be your little shadow if you let me. I like to stay close and make sure you’re never lonely, but I also appreciate having a bit of space to myself now and then. I really want to make dog friends — I might be a little timid at first, but give me a chance to play outside and you’ll see my confident, sassy side shine through. I happen to be a special girl with just three legs, but don’t worry, I can do just about anything my four legged friends can. At night, I’m perfectly fine snoozing in my crate or on the floor, but I’ll probably check to make sure you’re not cold or lonely before settling in. Snuggling up next to you for a cozy sleep sounds pretty perfect to me. I enjoy treats, but honestly, I’m way more motivated by love and cuddles. If you’re looking for a sweet, resilient, and loyal companion who just wants to be close, I think we’d make the best pair.
About my Behaviour:
I am house trained and crate trained. I do sometimes need some help on more difficult terrain like going up stairs, but I'm getting stronger everyday. I can be timid with new dogs but with slow intros I warm up quickly and and getting more excited about playing. I would do well as an only dog or with a dog friend. To ensure we get off on the right paw, my adopters will be required to sign up for force-free training. You can find a list of great trainers at www.albertaforcefreealliance.com.
How’s my Health?
I came in with two broken legs and unfortunately one had to be amputated. I have recovered well and am adjusting to life as a tri-pod. I might have a chicken allergy as I was quite itchy but it has cleared up since I've been eating salmon or lamb food. I am spayed, up to date on my vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped.
