Critter Twitter:

Hi, I’m Patchouli, and I’m a sweet, affectionate girl who loves being close to my people. I’m gentle by nature, but I’m also smart and active, so I enjoy both cuddles and playtime. I get along great with people of all ages and love making new human friends wherever I go. I’ve also started making doggy friends and am learning how fun it is to socialize. Playing with my toys is one of my favorite things, especially when it turns into a game of fetch. When I’m relaxing, you’ll often find me sitting by the window, watching the world go by. I really enjoy going for walks and I’m good on leash, so I make a great walking buddy. I like having things to do and places to explore, but I’m just as happy spending time with you at home. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion, I think we could be perfect together.

About my Behaviour:

I am house trained but not crate trained. Living in a house and in the city is new to me but I'm doing great. Sometimes I get nervous in new situations but I'm getting braver everyday! I'm a smart lady who will need plenty of mental enrichment and physical activity. To ensure we get off on the right paw, my adopters will be required to sign up for force-free training. You can find a list of great trainers at www.albertaforcefreealliance.com.

How’s my Health?

I had surgery to remove a bone chip from my front leg and do have some arthritis in my elbow. I will require medication for this long term to ensure I'm not in pain. Don't let that fool you though, I'm still a happy and active dog who can keep up with the best of them! Right now the vet has prescribed gabapentin and cartrophen injections, and metacam on days when I'm extra active. Staying a healthy weight and a joint supplement will also be important. I am spayed, up to date on my vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped. Zoe's cannot guarantee what breeds are in me.
