Rescue Story:
I started my life hiding under a lady's deck, where my mom was so shy that it took quite a while for the rescuers to catch us. It's been a journey learning to trust humans, but after lots of patience and socialization, I'm blossoming into a friendly, loving kitten. I am now officially ready to find my forever family and move into a home where I can share all the snuggles I've been saving up!
Date of Birth: April 2026
Energy Level: High
Size (adult): Medium
Adoption Fee: $225 for me, $350 for a sibling and me.
Good with Dogs? Very specific dog(s) only
Only calm, cat-savvy dogs who will respect my space.
Good with Cats? Must have a cat friend
Respectful of senior cat but that might be because I had a sibling to keep my entertained and distracted. I would love to be adopted with my brother, Johnny. If not, I must have another young, friendly, confident cat in the home.
Good with Kids? Maybe
Older, respectful children who understand shy cats would be best.
Critter Twitter:
Hi, I'm Veteran! I'm on the quieter side, and while it takes me a little longer to trust new people, I promise I'm worth every bit of patience. My brother Johnny is my biggest source of confidence, and I often look to him before deciding if something new is safe. Even though I'm the shyer one, once I feel comfortable I'm surprisingly brave about asking for affection. I've been known to hop into a lap for cuddles all by myself when I feel safe. I might take a little longer to start purring, but once I do, you'll know you've truly won my heart. I love tube treats, chasing wand toys, batting springs around the house, climbing cat trees, and spending every chance I get with Johnny. Whether we're playing, napping, or exploring, we're almost always together. #worththewait
About my Behaviour:
I need a calm, quiet home that will let me settle in at my own pace. I'm a sensitive kitten who forms deep bonds once I feel safe. Because Johnny gives me so much confidence, we would absolutely love to be adopted together. We seek each other out constantly and truly are happiest as a team. If we can't stay together, I will need another young, friendly cat who can help me continue building my confidence and keep me company.
How’s my Health?
I am fixed, microchipped, up to date on my vaccines, and dewormed. I must be fed at least one meal of wet food each day for hydration. Wet food is important because it's high in protein, lower in carbohydrates, and provides extra moisture, which helps support urinary health. Food is definitely one of my favorite things, so scheduled meals and the occasional tube treat are the perfect way to win me over!
