Rescue Story:

I was brought in as part of Zoe's Spay/Neuter/Return Program in July 2016. At that time I had my right eye removed due to a car accident, and then I went back to my community after I was all healed up. Unfortunately, I was having troubles there after losing my eye, so Zoe's took me in as an official foster. After they brought me in, they discovered that I had fractured my femur at some point, so back to surgery I went to get that fixed up. I'm now healing nicely in my foster home with my three adult foster humans, dog siblings and my elderly cat sibling.

Date of Birth: 2014

Energy Level: Medium

Size (adult): Medium

Adoption Fee:

Good with Dogs? Yes

Good with Cats? Yes
I like to watch the resident cats, but I leave them alone for the most part.
Good with Kids? Unknown
I love most people, so I'd probably be fine with kids.

Critter Twitter:

I love everyone and I'm not afraid to show it! I am an affectionate, cuddly, pup who loves to play with humans and other dogs. When I'm really happy, I like to wrap my body around your legs and wiggle my little bum. #happybutt

About my Behaviour:

I was in pain for quite a while because of an untreated femur injury, and I've got some resource guarding tendencies because of it. However, it's very manageable as long as you are sensitive to my energy levels and pain. All I need is a bit of space to rest and enjoy my meals and toys in peace. I'm still healing from having my leg fixed, so once my pain goes away, my resource guarding might go away too. I'm house trained and crate trained, but I would do well with praise-based manners training. I spent most of my life outside and can sometimes play a bit too rough.

How’s my Health?

I am neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on my vaccinations. I am missing my right eye and I recently underwent FHO (femoral head ostectomy) surgery in February 2017. I'm healing up nicely and am currently going through rehabilitation. It will take at least 2 months for my back right leg/hip to recover, and it may take many more months to gain full potential of my leg.
