Critter Twitter:

Hi there, I'm Anya. Oh my dog I love to cuddle with the humans! That's why I'm a snuggle bunny for Halloween.

If you have a harmonica, I will sing you the song of my people. Because I'm a coonhound, I like to sing and bark.

Jumping into a car or truck for a ride is probably my favourite thing. It doesn't matter if we go across the yard or across the country: I'm all for a road trip when the door is open.

About my Behaviour:

Being a coonhound with a nose for flare, I have a lot of energy and need daily walks or runs to help me stay on my best behavior. I am treadmill trained, and when I'm wanting to go out my foster Mom will put me on the treadmill to go finish what she's doing, Yup, you heard right: I can go on the treadmill "walking" all by myself without a leash!

I’m not suited to going to off leash dog parks.

Big calm male dogs are my preference for playing and hanging out with. They have to be OK with me being a bossy female, because I am who I am. I had liked to pick on all the dogs here at my foster home. Bruno is the best as he's easy and reacts. My two sisters demand more respect - I know they would never hurt me but they'll run to my foster Mom and tattle.

My new family needs to be experienced dog owners.

If you are interested in checking back on my progress, keep in mind that, like typical coonhounds, I like to sing, so I can never be an apartment dog. I'm also high energy, and will need an active home. To find out more about my (main) breed, see the Dogs 101 video.

How’s my Health?

I am spayed and up to date on my vaccinations.
