Birdie Bell   |   Female   |   Domestic cutie (DSH)   |

Rescue Story:

I was returned because the resident dog had far too much prey drive and it was no longer safe. I'm a lover not a fighter, had I stood my ground she would probably back off but I just wanted to be besties.

Date of Birth: May 2018 (est)

Energy Level: Low - Medium

Size (adult): Small (7lbs of cuteness)

Adoption Fee:

Good with Dogs? Yes
I do love dogs but will not stand my ground or tell them to back off if needed. So only super cat friendly dogs with zero prey drive.
Good with Cats? Yes
With slow introductions to cat friendly cats I should be fine.
Good with Kids? Yes
As long as they respect any space I ask for.

Critter Twitter:

I am miss sweetie. I am pretty calm and not phased by much. I will follow you around to see what you are doing and I love being petted. But when it comes to cuddle time, it must be me who decides. I love to pick up toys with my mouth and other small things (so be sure nothing unsafe is on the floor that I could eat). I do get zoomies a few times a day and I love to play. I can't wait to find my true forever home! #awesomecat #seriouslyfolks

About my Behaviour:

I would be happy as an only cat if played out a few times a day or if you had another active cat friendly cat I am sure we would be friends. Especially if slow proper intros are done.

Even though the resident dog wanted to kill me, I still wanted to be her best friend. For my safety, only cat friendly dogs who love cats but very respectful if any,

How’s my Health?

I am fully vetted. I will need to get a dental cleaning done in a few years as my teeth arent so good. Some vets do offer an optimum care package where you pay monthly for vet services including a dental cleaning. I don't like having my mouth touched at all but it's probably due to all that plaque buildup. Once my teeth are cleaned you can try brushing my teeth a few times a week. Currently being fed dental food and neither I or any cat in the home can be free fed. I will eat it all in one sitting. I LOVE food and you should watch my waistline so I do not get overweight which can lead to health issues. I did eat raw before and I did enjoy it, so I could go back to it. If keeping the dental diet be sure to add one wet food meal a day. Also just a heads up, I get very car sick. So no meals before a car trip!
