Rescue Story:
I was found living outdoors with my mom and siblings in Northern Alberta and was rescued by the Zoe's crew when we were about a week old. I was adopted out as a puppy but unfortunately there was a change in my family situation and I had to be returned.

Date of Birth: October 2023
Energy Level: Medium - I like a good play but also know how to chill.
Size (adult): Large (currently about 85lbs)

I love to play with other dogs!
Good with Cats? Yes
I am curious but should be fine with dog savvy cats.
Good with Kids? Maybe
I haven't lived with children but with respectful playing I should be ok.

Hello hello, I'm Buck aka River! I’m nicknamed grandpa because I‘m super relaxed, I like to have one particular toy, and go off and eat dandelions. I love being outside, having my squeaky toy, meeting new people, and playing with my doggy friends. I'm a very smart boy so I will need a family who will make sure I get proper mental stimulation to keep me busy and out of trouble. I love to snuggle, boop you with my nose, and gallop around the backyard like a horse. I also really enjoy walks and I'm good on leash. Could that be you? Apply below!
About my Behaviour:
I am house trained and sit by the door if I need to go out. I’m not destructive when left alone, but I do like to howl so I will need someone willing to stop in for me. I would do best in a home where my people aren't gone long hours. I'm a big boy and need to continue to work on my manners as I’m not totally aware of my size yet. As a condition of adoption, we must register in a force free training class. I’ve done some training but I haven’t completed all my steps yet!
How’s my Health?
I am neutered, up to date on my vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped. Zoe's cannot guarantee what breeds are in me or my size as an adult.
