Rescue Story:
I was originally born in Zoe's care and adopted out but unfortunately I was quite anxious around the new baby in my home and had to come back.
Date of Birth: March 2019
Energy Level: Low - I get the occasional zoomies but am mostly calm and quiet.
Size (adult): Large (approx 70lbs)
Adoption Fee: $425 for these adorable puppy dog eyes!
Good with Dogs? Very specific dog(s) only
I can be selective with other dogs and would do best as the only dog in the home.
Good with Cats? Yes
With proper introductions I should do just fine.
Good with Kids? Maybe
Older children who are comfortable with dogs and can read body language

Hi I'm Klaus! I might look like I'm too big to be a lap dog but I promise you I'm not. I'm a great cuddler. Like the best! I love going on walks and don't pull on leash, I'm not in a rush to get anywhere. My foster mama says I'm a chill guy but once in awhile I like to cut loose. I do have some doggy friends but I can be selective so I'd like to be your one and only pup at home. I can be left alone in the house and not get into trouble, mostly I just like to snooze on the couch.
About my Behaviour:
I do have anxiety and would do best in a calm, quiet home with a consistent routine where I can relax and feel safe. If I get startled I will bark. I can be reactive to other dogs, but usually only if they react first. My adopters will need to continue working on building my confidence. To ensure we get off on the right paw you will need to sign up for three private training sessions with a force-free trainer.
How’s my Health?
I had TPLO surgery in January and am recovering well but I do need the other leg done once I'm healed. I am neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on my vaccinations. I take fluoxetine daily to help with my anxiety and will need to continue that in my new home.
