Mitzie   |   Female   |   Domestic Catolo (DSH)   |

Rescue Story:

I was brought to a grooming salon in a taped-up box. The owner said that they had "allergies" and was just going to abandon me if no one took me in. Thankfully Zoe's volunteer took me in, and is able to foster me until adopted! I'm 12! How would I have survived out there?

Date of Birth: April 21, 2007

Energy Level: Low

Size (adult): Medium (11 pounds, I look heavier then I am, it's just all sagging skin from my weight loss a few years ago)

Adoption Fee:

Good with Dogs? Unknown
If cat friendly and not high energy, I should be ok with proper introductions.
Good with Cats? Unknown
Especially cat friendly cats and proper introductions to nonannoying cats.
Good with Kids? Unknown
Only older, calm kids please

Critter Twitter:

I am one sweet girl who has lived a long life, now all I want to do is enjoy retirement and do my own thing. I still like the odd cuddles every now and then, especially belly rubs, but I am not clingy at all. I like those hidey holes to hide in, and cat trees are cool, but, I am not as agile as I once was, so I don't use them much. Scratching posts and smaller cat houses would make me a happy camper. #sweetgirl

About my Behaviour:

I require a calm home that is quiet. I startle easily, and if someone sneezes I go flying, yelling at you from a distance. I am good with other cats and dogs with proper introductions and to ones who are cat-friendly, but mainly, I'm indifferent to them and do my own thing. I'm just a cat looking for a retirement home, where I am loved, no matter my age, like all cats, deserve.

How’s my Health?

I am spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped and dewormed. I do have tartar on my teeth and will probably need a dental in the future. I have some slight arthritis in my hips and spine so need glucosamine to help with that pain. As I am a senior, my adoption fee is only $75.
