Rescue Story:
I am a puppy mill survivor. I was in a shelter, but did not do well in that environment and was transfered to Zoe's.

I like other dogs around to show me the ropes and would prefer one in my forever home.

My foster home has 2 cranky kitties and 1 nice kitty. I am so good with them; I avoid the cranky ones and cuddle the nice one!

I am still pretty timid so no kids or older kids would be best.

I have been living in my foster home for a few months now and boy, has my life changed! Because of my past, I used to be very afraid. But now I've learned that humans can be kind - and full of snuggles and bacon!
I like to follow my foster mom and dad around the house. As soon as they sit down, I am there to sit with them! I love to snuggle - the closer, the better. My favourite place to snuggle is outside on the patio furniture. I love to feel the sun on my fur while I get tummy rubs.
When my foster mom first came to pick me up from the shelter, she tried to win me over with bacon. I was so scared that I didn't want any of it. Now that I'm a braver guy, I love bacon! I even successfully stole a piece off the kitchen table! Hehe. Ok, so I'm still learning my manners but I could tell my foster mom was secretly proud that I'm not so timid anymore.
About my Behaviour:
Because of my past, I am still learning how to be a happy, normal dog. I am improving every day. I LOVE people. I always want to be with my foster family and love to be pet. I snuggle up to the people I trust when they are sitting down and roll over to get belly rubs. I need a family who will spend lots of time with me or has other animals to keep me company. I definitely learn best by observing other dogs. I am crate trained. I am still working on my house training, but I am improving in this area too. I need a family that will continue to work on my confidence and in return I will provide so much love!
How’s my Health?
I will be microchipped, vaccinated, and neutered before adoption. I have a minor liver shint. This requires a liver-friendly diet and regular check ups.
