Rescue Story:
I was rescued out of the cold with my 9 puppies. Now they are old enough to go out on their own and I am looking for a furever home to love and spoil me.

I am fearful at first but with slow introductions I'm soon ready to play! Another dog really helps with my confidence.

I'm Phoenix, nice to meet you! I am an extremely sweet and gentle pup but am also quite fearful and skittish with new people and in new situations. I really just want to be loved but it does take me some time to open up and trust you. When I'm feeling safe and confident I love to play with my toys, especially bones, and perform surgey on those pesky squeaky toys. I am fostered with another dog and we love to play outside in the backyard. I am happiest when getting pets, attention and praise from my favourite humans. If you're looking for a dog who will be your number one biggest fan then don't miss out on me!
About my Behaviour:
I am house trained. I am not crate trained yet but have started to go into the open crate at my foster home. Living in a home is completely new to me but I am adapting well. I can be reluctant to enter new spaces so need lots of patience and reassurance. Walking on a leash was also completely new but I'm starting to enjoy my walks, especially when I get to take my time and enjoy the sniffs. I am a very smart girl who is eager to please so will learn new things fast. I am currently fostered with another dog and do need a companion in my new home as it really helps my confidence. To ensure we get off on the right paw, my adopters will be required to sign up for force-free training. You can find a list of great trainers at www.albertaforcefreealliance.com.
How’s my Health?
I am spayed, up to date on my vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped. I do have BB bullets in my side from a past life but they haven't caused me any issues.
