Big Dipper “Seven” Nightsky   |   Male   |   Mixed Breed   |

Rescue Story:

I was originally adopted out as a puppy but unfortunately the toddler in the home developed allergies to me and I was also struggling to adjust to life with an unpredictable little human so now I'm back with Zoe's and looking for a second chance at furever.

Date of Birth: October 4, 2021 (est)

Energy Level: Medium - I need my daily exercise but after that I'm quite happy to chill and nap at home.

Size (adult): Large (approx 90lbs)

Adoption Fee: *ADOPTION FEE WAIVED*

Good with Dogs? Very specific dog(s) only
I can be nervous and reactive to new dogs and would need slow introductions to new friends.
Good with Cats? No
I have lived with cats but do chase so would do best in a home with no cats.
Good with Kids? Maybe
Older kids who can respect my boundaries only please.

Critter Twitter:

Hi there, I’m Seven! I’m a couch potato who thinks the best part of the day is curling up next to my favorite humans. I love to snuggle close and soak up all the affection I can get. I’m a sensitive boy with a gentle heart, and I like to take life at an easy pace but I'm always up for a good walk or a play session. Don't be fooled by my wise looks, I'm still a young dog who's ready to show off his silly side. I absolutely love playing ball, especially if it's a squeaky one, and could chase it back and forth for ages, and I also get the zoomies I'm excited! I’m affectionate and loyal and always ready to put a smile on your face with my goofy antics. If you're looking for a new best friend who likes long strolls as much as he loves a movie marathon then I'm your guy!

About my Behaviour:

I am a quiet, calm and eay pup to live with. As long as I get a good walk and some mental enrichment, I am quite content to snooze away the day at home either with you or when you have to go to that work thing. I am crate trained and house trained and have excellent leash manners. I can be fear reactive towards other dogs but have been making great progress with this and as long as we keep some distance and you have some yummy treats I'm quite easy to redirect and continue on with our walk. I have been working with a trainer and have had successful, controlled interactions with other calm dogs. I would thrive in a quiet home Zoe's will include two private sessions with a certified force-free trainer with my adoption to help set my new family up for success!

How’s my Health?

I am currently on medication for anxiety which should be continued until I settle into my new home. At that point I may be able to be weaned off the meds on I'm doing well. I am neutered, microchipped, dewormed and up to date on my vaccines.
