Rescue Story:
The kind folks at Zoe's were picking up some other pups from a rural community but they couldn't say no to me. I was in pretty rough shape with an injured front leg and they got me the vet care I needed. I'm healing up and doing well and am now ready to find a family to call my own!
Date of Birth: May 5, 2025 (est)
Energy Level: Medium - I like a good play but also know how to chill
Size (adult): Small (currently about 30lbs)
Adoption Fee: $450 Steal of a deal for ALL this cuteness
Good with Dogs? Must have a dog Friend
My ideal home would have another dog friend for me to play with and help with my confidence.
Good with Cats? Yes
I am currently fostered with cats and think they should play with me but I would be fine with dog savvy cats.
Good with Kids? Yes
With proper introductions and respectful playing I would do just fine.
Critter Twitter:
Hi, I’m Scarlett, your future three-legged shadow, couch buddy, and professional heart-stealer. I may be a tripod, but don’t let that fool you, I zoom, play, and explore just like any other pup. I get around great and fully intend to keep up with you on adventures, walks, and snack-seeking missions. I’m a sweet girl with a sassy streak and a BIG personality packed into this adorable package. I love people (like… really love people) and other dogs? Yes please! After some playtime or adventuring I'm quite content to nap away the day in the comfiest spot in the house. I’m good in the car, enjoy getting out for walks, and since I’m very food-motivated, I’m quick to learn new things. If you’re looking for a resilient, loving, slightly sassy best friend who will make you laugh, keep you company, and prove that three legs are more than enough for a full life, I think we should meet. 💕
About my Behaviour:
I am house trained and crate trained. I don't love being left home alone but I am getting better with it. Having another dog in the home would be best as it helps me feel more comfortable and I would love if my humans aren't away for long hours. I can sometimes be vocal when I get scared or excited but am easy to redirect with food. I'm very food motivated! As a condition of adoption, we must register for a force free, in-person, group training class for puppies. We'll learn so much and bond and I can have some socializing time with other dogs in a safe environment, which is really critical for young pups! Please check out www.albertaforcefreealliance.com for some great force free trainers!
How’s my Health?
I came to Zoe's with a badly injured front leg that had to be amputated but I have adjusted well to life as a tripod. I also had two cherry eyes that were removed. I currently get eye drops daily and may need them long term. I am spayed, up to date on my vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped. Zoe's cannot guarantee what breeds are in me or my size as an adult.
