Rescue Story:

I have been living as a foster in several homes through no fault of my own. I dream of finding my forever home and I will be your loyal companion in return.

**As a courtesy post Zoe's has not met "Togo", we facilitate the adoption behind the scenes to ensure a safe rehoming. We make sure the animals are vetted but do not personally know the animal. It is the adopters responsibility to do their due diligence - ask for vet records, get the microchip changed, and/or ask for a trial period. An assessment of the dog from a force free trainer has been done and can be provided for review. **

Critter Twitter:

Hello lovely humans, my name is Togo. Just like the legendary sleddog, I am smart and driven. I love solving puzzles and succeed in most of them. Sometimes my humans say I am too smart for my own good, but that is just because they are not experienced with my breed. I am eager to do a lot of activities and training with my new family. I will appreciate lots of treats of course. If you think I can be your one and only pet, please submit an application. I cannot wait to be with my forever family.

About my Behaviour:

I need a lot of activities and training to drain my energy every day. I am used to doing my business in the backyard. I cannot be left alone at home for more than 6 hours, because I am very motivated to get out for an adventure of my own. I am still working on my recall. I may not come back until I have had enough fun. I am obsessed with food. Do not leave your meal unattended on the table for too long. They are just too tempting. I appreciate my own space when I am eating. I prefer to be the only pet at home because I do not like sharing my food and my humans. However, I get along with lots of dog friends outside, at dog parks and daycare. I can be challenging for first-time husky/malamute families. Experienced families will understand me and work better with me.

How’s my Health?

I am spayed, microchipped, up to date on my vaccinations. I am healthy according to my vet and my DNA test says I do not have hereditary issues.
