Rescue Story:
I originally came to Zoe's as a young puppy. My siblings and I were quite sick and were treated for parvo but we are fighters and fought off that yucky disease! I was unfortunately adopted out as a young puppy but due to some unforeseen changes in my adopters situation I am back with Zoe's and looking for another chance at furever.
Date of Birth: January 5, 2025 (est)
Energy Level: High - I am happiest with daily exercise and mental activities
Size (adult): Large (approx 70lbs)
Adoption Fee: $425 What a deal for this gorgeous gal!
Good with Dogs? Yes
I currently live with another dog and we get along well.
Good with Cats? Yes
I currently live with cats and I think they should play with me but I'm not aggressive. I should be fine with dog savvy cats.
Good with Kids? Yes
I like kids but I am a big bouncy girl so would likely do best with older kids who won't get knocked around.
Critter Twitter:
Hi, I'm Whippet, and if you're looking for a happy, bouncy best friend, I think we should meet! I absolutely adore people, and if you start giving me butt scritches, I'll lean in with my whole body to make sure you don't stop. I'm a social butterfly who loves making new friends wherever I go. I get along great with other dogs and have a blast playing alongside them. One of my favorite things is splashing and wading around in my kiddie pool when it's warm outside. I also love chasing toys all over the yard, even if I haven't quite figured out that bringing them back is part of the game yet. Trips to the dog park are always exciting because I get to run, play, and say hello to everyone. When the adventures are over, I'm more than happy to soak up all the love and attention you have to give. If your home could use a cheerful, affectionate girl with a big heart and an even bigger personality, I can't wait to meet you!
About my Behaviour:
I am house trained and crate trained and am used to being crated when my humans leave the house. I am a bouncy teenage pup who will need an active home that will provide appropriate mental and physical stimulation. If I get bored I do have a tendency to get into things and can be destructive. I do pull on leash so will need to continue working on my leash manners. To ensure we get off on the right paw, my adopters will be required to sign up for force free training. You can find a list of great trainers at www.albertaforcefreealliance.com
How’s my Health?
I seem to have a mild allergy to beef so it is best to avoid it. I am spayed, up to date on my vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped. Zoe's cannot guarantee what breeds are in me or my size as an adult.
