Rescue Story:
I came to Zoe’s after a run in with a porcupine. They were able to get me the medical attention I needed and help me heal up. Now I’m ready to find a furever home.

I haven't lived with children but I've been very sweet and gentle with all the little ones I've met.

Hi there, I’m Wishbone, and I’m on the hunt for my forever family! I’m a young, smart boy who learns new things quickly—especially if you’ve got treats. I’m super food-motivated, so training with me is both fun and rewarding. I absolutely love to chew, so having lots of toys around keeps me happy and out of trouble. I’m playful and curious, always ready to explore whatever’s around the corner. When I’m excited, my whole body wiggles because I just can’t help it. I adore spending time with my humans and being part of whatever they’re doing. I like making new doggy friends I have a big heart and so much love to give. If you’re looking for a clever, cheerful buddy who will make you smile nonstop, I think we’d be a perfect match!
About my Behaviour:
I am housetrained but am not crate trained yet. I've been good when left to my own devices in the home though. I can take a few minutes to warm up to new people who come to the house, but I'm getting more confident and am happy to say hi when I'm out on walks. I'm still a young dog who's new to living in a home but I'm adjusting so well and already have good manners. To ensure we get off on the right paw, my adopters will be required to sign up for force-free training. You can find a list of great trainers at www.albertaforcefreealliance.com.
How’s my Health?
I came in after being quilled by a porcupine so will need to continue to be monitored for migrating quills. I will be neutered, up to date on my vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped.
