Xena Kit   |   Female   |   House panther (DSH)   |

Rescue Story:

I was adopted many years ago but returned due to my adopter working away from home for many weeks. Sadly it turned out I was declawed when they knew of Zoe's no declawing policy. Thankfully xrays showed no severe arthritis yet. I have worked hard on my weight loss and enjoying my life. I can't wait to see the next chapter.

Date of Birth: July 2013

Energy Level: Low

Size (adult): Large (I am on a diet)

Adoption Fee: *Sponsored*

Good with Dogs? Unknown
Never met one, so not sure.
Good with Cats? Unknown
Not sure i"ve been an only cat for a long time.
Good with Kids? Unknown
Older kids would be best if any. Loud sounds and sudden movements scare me.

Critter Twitter:

Hi, my name is Xena and I am a sweet girl who once settled in loves to get pets and cuddles. I have no claws so climbing cat trees are a bit tricky, especially with all my some weight and loose skin. An easy to walk on cat tree near windows would be great for me please. Or cat shelves. Overall I really am an awesome house panther who wants to be loved. #loveme

About my Behaviour:

I would love a catio or porch thats screened in so I can be outside. I love being out there and you wanna ensure I stay on your property and not get out to roam as it's unsafe out there.

I do need a calm, quiet home that is understanding it will take me some time to settle in.

How’s my Health?

I am fully vetted. I was declawed unfortunately so I could get osteoarthritis in my paws, hips and spine (as I don't walk like normal cats on my toes) and it should be monitored. Most of my bigness is loose skin from when I was obese. I am now very close to my ideal weight and I should never be allowed to get overweight again. Less dry and more wet food is ideal as dry food is empty carbs and easy to gain weight on.
