Critter Twitter:

Hey everyone, my name is Chico. I am a sweet, silly, and affectionate boy! I love to romp around the yard, play with toys, and wrestle with my foster sister. I also love giving kisses and cuddles to my foster mom and all our human visitors. I am a gentle soul and live to please. When I first came to Zoe's, I was quite fearful, but I have made progress in leaps and bounds. My foster mom says that it has been such a joy to watch me blossom into the happy, playful puppy that I was meant to be. I would love a family to play with me, teach me new things and help me grow in confidence. If you think I would be a good fit for your family, please put in an application for me. I can’t wait to meet you and start my new adventure!

About my Behaviour:

I am house trained and I love my crate - I sleep in it at night and nap in it during the day. I have done great with the female dogs I have met, but male dogs sometimes scare me, especially if they are bigger than me. I adore my foster sister though, and she helps me feel safe, so I would love a home with a friendly, confident female doggy friend. I am currently on medication to help me with the anxiety I sometimes feel in new situations, and will need to continue this at least through the transition to my forever home. I also need a family that is committed to building my confidence using positive reinforcement. In particular, I’m still working on getting comfortable with walks. For now, I will need a fenced yard for my exercise and playtime, and my foster mom can give you lots of ideas for fun ways to keep my brain and body busy!

As a condition of adoption, my adopters will need to sign me up for at least three private sessions with a force free trainer who can help me continue the amazing progress I've already been making. Please check out www.albertaforcefreealliance.com for some great force free trainers!

How’s my Health?

I am neutered, up to date on my vaccinations, de-wormed and micro-chipped. Zoe's can not guarantee any breeds or how many are in me nor what size I will be as an adult.
