Rescue Story:

Date of Birth: 2010

Energy Level: Medium

Size (adult): 115 lbs.

Adoption Fee:

Good with Dogs? Yes
I can make friends with any dog that is not aggressive as long as we are slowly introduced.
Good with Cats? No
I have a high prey drive.
Good with Kids? Yes
I am a gentle giant with people and children.

Critter Twitter:

I used to live in a rural area where I stayed outside and could roam wild and free. I have wolf ancestry, but I could get used to the domesticated life. I've never lived in a house full-time, but I think I could get used to a warm floor in the winter! #majestic #wolfdog #wildandfree

About my Behaviour:

I can be timid when meeting new people, but I warm up quickly. I have never shown aggression to people, but when I meet a new dog I display fear aggression. When meeting any new dogs I need to be slowly introduced to them. I love going for walks, but I need to work on my leash manners. I used to run free in the country for years, so I have not had much practice walking on a leash. I cannot be off-leash at a dog park because I LOVE to chase things. If I see another animal I will run after it. I am very playful and affectionate and need a secured yard to run and play in. A fenced acreage would be ideal!

I used to live outside with a garage to sleep in so I haven't spent much time indoors. I love being inside, and so far I have good house manners, but it is unknown if I will ask to go outside to do my business. If I live in a city I would need to be walked with a muzzle by a confident owner. In time, I might be able to be walked without a muzzle.

I am usually a quiet boy, but I occasionally howl which my family finds endearing.

How’s my Health?

This summer I had a cancerous tumor removed on my leg. I am completely healthy now, and the vet said there is no way to predict if I will ever develop another tumor.
I am neutered.
