Lira Pate   |   Female   |   Stray cutie (DSH)   |

Rescue Story:

I was a stray kitten born in the city in need of help and a forever home. I was trapped in the same area as Schilling, but they aren't sure if we are siblings or not. We are very close now, though, since being in care.

Date of Birth: June 2025 (est)

Energy Level: Medium

Size (adult): Medium

Adoption Fee: $225

Good with Dogs? Very specific dog(s) only
Only calm, cat friendly dogs with no prey drive please. I am skittish and could trigger prey drive in some.
Good with Cats? Must have a cat friend
I must be adopted to a home with another very cat friendly cat buddy for me. I'd love to be adopted with my sister if possible though.
Good with Kids? Maybe
Older kids only who are understanding of shy cats nature.

Critter Twitter:

I am a shy but oh-so-sweet little tripod. Once I get to know you, I love being scooped up and will happily settle on your chest or lap. I love to play, especially with my sister, and I have the prettiest markings with the sweetest face. I know we may not be instant besties, but I can't wait to get to know you, and in time, I will more than make up for the wait. I may never leave your side! #shybutsweet

About my Behaviour:

I do require a calm, quiet home, as I startle very easily with loud noises and fast movements. Once settled in, I am very much a sweetie and well worth the invested time in me.

I would love to be adopted with my sister if possible, as we do seek each other out for comfort. I might be ok without her as long as you have a very cat-friendly, confident cat buddy for me. With slow, proper introductions, of course.

How’s my Health?

I am fixed, microchipped, and dewormed. The number of vaccines will depend on the length of care. I must be fed at least one meal of wet food a day for hydration. Wet food is important, as it's best for kitties, so please make sure it's in my diet. Wet food is higher in protein and can be lower in carbs. It also gives added moisture, which is important, as dry-food-only-fed cats tend to be dehydrated, which can lead to UTIs.

I had a bad leg injury that required amputation. I am a tripod and doing really well. It is best to ensure that I do not get overweight, as it would be harder on my one leg to cope and may lead to early osteoarthritis. It has taken me a bit to get used to three legs, but I am starting to do all normal kitty things again.
