Sapphire Sassafrass   |   Female   |   Domestic Floofer (DLH)   |

Rescue Story:

I came to Zoe's when my foster heard word of my story and my need for a home. You see I gave birth to kittens and my old owner couldn't sell them so we were boxed up and abandoned a few blocks from home. I knew how to get back but sadly my kittens did not. My old owner then posted on Facebook asking for someone to pick me up so I could be abandoned further away from home and less likely to get back home safely. My foster was irate and took me in and asked Zoe's if they could fix me and help me find a forever home. Luckily they agreed and I am on the lookout for my true forever home. One I will never be abandoned or let loose.

Critter Twitter:

I am one sweetheart of a cat who likes to play and I love to be petted. I am not over-the-top crazy and I enjoy cat tv. I can be a lap cat but it must be my decision. I also prefer if you let me decide on being picked up and held. I am just one of those cats you can't help but fall in love with. I am what is known as an old soul and quite easy to care for. #loveme #sweetie

About my Behaviour:

I am skittish around fast movements and loud sounds, a calmer quiet home would be best. One that understands it will take me a bit to adjust to my new home. I am after all not used to a good safe home considering what my first owner did to me and my babies.

I would love a home with another very cat-friendly cat in the home, but since in my first home I was the only cat, it's not a must. Especially if you are willing to adopt a 2nd cat if I do become lonely and I really want a cat buddy.

I would love a home where I have a catio to go in and out of freely or to be able to go out a harness/leash. My foster has a cat safe yard (cat fencing that keeps me inside the yard) and I love being outside.

How’s my Health?

I am fully vetted. I should be fed at least one wet food meal a day. I am picky with my wet so you could mix some dry food with it. I am a bit overweight and on a diet.
