Rescue Story:
I was sadly going to put down because I needed surgery on both knees but lucky for me Zoe's answered the call and brought me into care to get the vetting I need and find me a furever home.
Date of Birth: February 4, 2025
Energy Level: Low- I've been pretty low key in my foster home so far
Size (adult): Small (approx 13lbs)
Adoption Fee: $700
Good with Dogs? Yes
I would do best in a home with a small, confident, gentle dog who I can learn from
Good with Cats? Yes
I have no interest in cats
Good with Kids? Maybe
I am good with kids but a busy home may be too overwhelming for me. An adult only home would be best.
Critter Twitter:
Hi I'm Spritz! I'm a gentle soul that takes time to adjust and trust. I enjoy doggy friends of simiilar size and energy and would love a home with a small, playful buddy who can show me the ropes and snuggle in the evenings. I can find big, boisterous dogs overwhelming as I'm just a tiny lady. I have had litter experience with the world and sometime get worried about new things so I'll need a patient human who will take things at my pace. I LOVE a good game of tug, even more than food and snuggles, it really is the key to my heart. If I sound like the perfect pup for you then apply below!
About my Behaviour:
I'm still young and am doing well with house training with a good routine and frequent potty breaks. I may need gentle reminders that the washroom in outdoors in my new home. I am crate trained. I am not a fan of car rides and do have motion sickness. I take time to warm up to new people and am not a fan of people touching me without consent. I'll politely walk away from these scenarios if given the chance. As a condition of adoption, we must register for a force free, in-person, group training class for puppies. We'll learn so much and bond and I can have some socializing time with other dogs in a safe environment, which is really critical for young pups! Please check out www.albertaforcefreealliance.com for some great force free trainers!
How’s my Health?
I came to Zoe's with grade 3 luxating patellas on both knees and an umbilical hernia. I will get getting double knee surgery, hernia repair, and spayed soon so my adopters will have to be prepared for surgery recovery. I am up to date on my vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped.
