Rescue Story:

I came into care from a target community because my momma had puppies at a very young age, so she wasn't able to take care of me.

Date of Birth: December 22, 2015

Energy Level: Medium-High

Size (adult): Large

Good with Dogs? Yes
I love my K9 friends!
Good with Cats? Unknown
I'm very young, so I should be able to adapt to friendly kitties.
Good with Kids? No
I'm just so excited already, and kids make me even more excited.

Critter Twitter:

Did someone say Kong? Where's my Kong? I love that Kong stuffed with food. Or my piggy. My oinking piggy is my favourite. It's so nice that it makes sounds.

I'm cuddly, playful, and super adorable. When my foster mom gets home, I just want to snuggle with her... as long as we can keep moving around! Sitting still is hard! #stealyourheart #puppylove #snugglebug

About my Behaviour:

I love to play and be around other dogs, and I'm definitely a big fan of people! When I'm all tuckered out from playing, I love to cuddle by curling up onto your chest, or curling inside your jacket to take a nap. I LOVE to wrestle with my brother, you wouldn't even know I'm blind by the way we play together! I'm very feisty and playful, and will let you know when I don't want to be picked up.

I'm staying with the Zoe's family for a little while so I can get the professional training I need, and start out on the right paw! However, it will still be mandatory for my adoptive family to take me to puppy and obedience classes. I need a family who is going to help me be independent and confident and not baby me too much to help me become a well rounded balanced dog. Like every other puppy, I will need lots of love, patience, and attention. Because I am blind, I will need lots of extra training so that I learn to react to cues instantly. I will also need lots of socialization so that future fear will be prevented. I need a family who is very eager and willing to learn, or already has experience with blind dogs. And don't forget I'll need LOTS of playtime and exercise! I need at least 2 walks a day for 20 minutes at a time.

Sometimes I'm a little anxious, since I can't see what's going on around me. But if you're calm and patient then we'll get along great! Are you my special human?

How’s my Health?

The vet says that I'm blind, but we aren't 100% sure if I can still see a little bit, or if my vision is completely gone. I don't let it stop me, but I need proper training to learn how to deal with it since I'm still a baby and I'm learning everything else on top of being blind. I'm also 1/3 the size of my siblings, so I'm a pretty tiny guy.

I will be fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped before adoption is finalized.
