My Rescue Story
My mom was found as a stray with us as tiny kittens. A kind lady took us in and Zoe’s agreed to help us all find forever homes.

What am I like?
Let me tell you!
My name is Marigold and I am a very sweet, yet quite shy girl. I prefer to do my own thing and watch from a distance, especially if there are new people around. I am a gentle, sensitive soul who has a lot of love to give in a home that will truly let me shine. #shybutsweet.
How do I act?
I require a very calm, laid back home that is understanding of shy cats.
I love all cat friendly cats no matter the age. I am pretty laid back for a kitten so I would be fine with seniors. But given my timid side I ask for no bullies please as all I will do is hide. I do need at least one cat friendly cat who will be my buddy, a confident kitty who isn’t a bully will really help me. I am being fostered with Rosie and I could easily be adopted with her. In fact, she would likely help me settle in a bit better.
I would only be good with calm dogs who are cat friendly but would also leave me alone when I want them to.
My Health is Very Important!
I microchipped, up to date vaccines, and dewormed.
I have a high grade heart murmur and echocardiogram showed I have a minor heart ventricle defect but won’t require any medication and the vet stated it should not cause issues in the future. It is important to bring me to the vet if I seem to have troubles breathing, panting hard or blueish gums. A yearly exam is important to help with monitoring my health.
I must be fed at least one meal of wet food a day for hydration. Wet food is important, as it’s best for kitties, so please make sure it’s in my diet. Wet food is higher in protein and can be lower in carbs. It also gives added moisture, which is important, as dry-food-only-fed cats tend to be dehydrated, which can lead to UTIs.
Anxiety medication is likely a good idea to help me settle in initially as I am very shy and will take time to settle in. I am fine with getting liquid gabapentin and its something I will need for vet visits. Thankfully it is very cheap. A cat friendly vet practice who is force free would be ideal for me or a vet that comes to the home.
