Rescue Story:
I came to Zoe's to find my furever home.

Size (adult): Large (115lb -target weight is 95lbs)
Adoption Fee:
Good with Dogs? Yes
I am good with other dogs when I meet them when I'm out and about, but I would really like to be the only dog in my new home 🙂
Good with Cats? Yes
I can co-exist with a cat, but I do like to chase. Probably a feline-free home would be best for me!
Good with Kids? Yes
But only older kids who are 13+. I really need to be with kids that are dog savvy, and understand and respect my need for space.

I'm a very sweet loveable 115lb boy with large paws. I need to drop some weight to be the handsome 95 lb love bug I'm meant to be! I love my toys, sitting in the yard, and being curled up on the sofa. A slow paced walk is my favourite, but when I do run I am at full tilt for a short while! #giantsweetie
About my Behaviour:
I'm an easy going bulldog lookin' for some loving peeps to hang out with. I am also crate and house trained and know my basic commands.
I need to be the only dog in the home, but I am not reactive to dogs outside of the home.
I prefer not to be bothered when catching some z's as it can startle me. Sometimes I forget how big I am, and accidentally knock young kids over so only dog savvy teenagers in my home please.
How’s my Health?
I have bi-lateral ligament tears in my knee. The nice Zoe's vet has taken a look and luckily I don't need surgery. But I do need monitored exercise - so light exercise and pain medication if I over do it. I take daily Glucosamine to help my joints. I had painful skin sores when I came to Zoe's! They knew right away that it was a food allergy and changed me to Royal Canin hypoallergenic food.
I take Apoquel daily for my skin issues, and we are trying a raw diet for weight loss and to help with my skin. I also take metacam and gabapentin daily, as well as a joint supplement.
Did I mention I am currently doing hydrotherapy to help with my weight loss and joint health? So awesome!! My adoption will come with 10 hydrotherapy sessions 🙂
The lovely people at Zoe's would like to "co-pilot" with my adopters, to help with future vet care.
I am neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated.
