Critter Twitter:

Good day! My name is Dragon Fruit! I love to run and play with other dogs, sometimes it takes me a little time to feel comfortable with them but once I do - it's GO time! I must admit, I do like the sound of my own voice! I will bark at my friends to get them to play with me or if they have something I want. I am told that I have some sass (I call it personality). I make all sorts of funny noises when I want something, or if my hoomans just take forever getting my food ready or giving me that tasty treat! I love food and I love to learn - what a perfect combination! I love to cuddle. I am told I am the best cuddler! I already know how to sit, lay down, touch, shake a paw, spin and to bow. I would love to add some more things to my bag of tricks, so hopefully you can keep teaching me. I would also love to try a sport. FYI, I have no fear of heights of things that move, so if you are wanting to try agility, I just may be the girl for you! I have trouble eating my food too fast, so I need to eat from a slow feeder bowl, snuffle mat or any food dispensing toy, plus also it is way more interesting to eat that way. I have a fair amount of energy but once I am ready to relax, I calm down quite quickly. I'm not a huge fan of this cold weather or the gear needed to keep me warm and I don't have alot of fur, so I will need someone to help me learn to love wearing accessories like jackets and booties. Because I like to speak my mind, I am not suited for a Condo/Apartment. If you having been wanting a puppy but don’t want the hassle of some of the puppy issues with the little ones, I am your girl. I am almost house trained, I walk good on the leash and I am not destructive (disclaimer: my foster mama keeps my mind well stimulated so that helps) If you like what you have read, please consider putting in an application. I would love to be in my forever home for the holidays! #smartcookie #cuddlebug

About my Behaviour:

I LOVE people and I love to jump up to say hi to you. I am told that is not how people like to be greeted so I need some help learning how I should greet people. I can get very excited and sometimes takes a while to calm down so, I may not be good for children under 5 years old. I am getting so much better at not using my teeth on people, but sometimes forget when playing with you or get over stimulated.
As a condition of adoption, we need to take some puppy classes! Yay!!! Check out www.albertaforcefreealliance.com for some great trainers that Zoe's recommends! This will be a perfect opportunity for us to bond, have some fun, and learn so much! Socializing in a safe environment is so important for pups like me, and these classes will help me to be the best dog I can be.

How’s my Health?

I am spayed, microchipped, dewormed and fully vaccinated.
