Rescue Story:

I came from another shelter. Initially I was found in a feral cat colony riddled with BB bullets that needed to be removed, but due to my very friendly nature they decided to put me up for adoption.

Date of Birth: 2011 (they guesstimate)

Energy Level: Medium

Size (adult): Medium

Adoption Fee:

Good with Dogs? Yes

Good with Cats? No
Due to being FIV positive, which is contagious via bite wounds or scratches to other cats, it's best I go to a home with no other cats, or to a home with other FIV positive cats.
Good with Kids? Yes

Critter Twitter:

I am one of the most affectionate and fun loving cats you will ever meet. I love my people and people love me. I could just sit on your lap for hours and hours purring away. But I also love to go on walks with my harness and leash! So if I sound perfect to you, fill out an adoption application and let's seal the deal! #purrfectcat #dogcat

About my Behaviour:

I am blind because my eyes needed to be removed due to severe glaucoma, and they were extremely painful. But once I learn my way around the house you wouldn't even think I was blind at all! I don't let it limit me so I try to climb things and be a normal cat. It's best to keep an eye on me though just to make sure I don't injure myself trying to be an explorer. Someone who is home a lot would be ideal, especially since I LOVE my people.

How’s my Health?

I am positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), which can make me more prone to infections. I need a little extra attention and monitoring, to make sure I stay healthy. FIV-positive cats can live normal lives both in quality and duration. Because I am FIV positive, I could be around other cats, only if we do not fight at all. The risk that a FIV-positive cat could spread the virus to a FIV-negative cat can be minimized by having us live in separate rooms until you are confident that we will not fight with each other as this disease spreads with cat bites. But it might be best for me to be the only cat in the home, unless you have other FIV positive cats just in case.
