Rescue Story:

I was found under a car with my puppies, but they died because my milk didn’t come 🙁 My foster mama says “Spay and Neuter” and I agree with her. The lovely people at Zoe's are helping me find the home that I deserve, and I can't wait!

Date of Birth: November 2017

Energy Level: Medium

Size (adult): 70 lbs.

Critter Twitter:

Well hello there! My name is Gemma! Let me tell you a little about me - I know my forever family is out there and I'm so excited to meet you. I really am an easy going girl (I'm just over a year old, so still a girl, but I behave like a lady, not like pesky puppies 😉 ) I'm patiently waiting (but secretly SO excited) for my people to find me. I can happily lounge in my crate when you're out, go to daycare to play with my dog friends, or.... best idea ever - I could come with you! I LOVE car rides ... we could have so many fun adventures together! My foster mama says I am such an easy going girl, we just aren't understanding why my people haven't found me yet!

I am house and crate trained.

So - that's me in a nutshell - honestly I'm a pretty perfect dog if I do say so myself. #laidback#letsdothis

About my Behaviour:

Some dogs make me nervous around my food so I eat in my crate. I'm still learning that food comes often and easily in this new life of mine. It is so awesome!

I would love to take some classes with you, so registering in a basic manners class with a positive reinforcement trainer is a condition of adoption. It'll be such a great bonding time and we'll both learn so much 🙂 (mandatory training at a location listed on https://www.albertaforcefreealliance.com is a condition of adoption.)

I play and play with the 7 mos old puppy in the house, while some other adult dogs make me uneasy. I'm not sure why - we can't all be best buds, can we! Proper introductions are so important when all dogs meet new potential friends 🙂

How’s my Health?

I've completed my treatment for a parasite called lungworm and I have a clean bill of health!
I am spayed, vaccinated, micro chipped and dewormed.
