Jazzmine | Female | Domestic Oversized Catolo (DSH) |
Rescue Story:
I was adopted out but returned. It was no longer a home that was a good fit for me.
Date of Birth: January 2014
Energy Level: Low - Medium
Size (adult): Large (I am on a diet)
Adoption Fee: $75
Good with Dogs? No
I was almost killed by one and do not like any dogs or puppies at all.
Good with Cats? No
It is probably best that I am an only cat.
Good with Kids? Unknown
Maybe older kids who are understanding of my needs.
Critter Twitter:
I am a vocal girl who loves to greet you in the mornings and when you come back. I am a mix of sweet and sass, it makes for a never dull day when I am around. I can be a lap cat or will sit beside you. I am a large and in charge kind of girl and I can not wait to find my true forever home! #largeandincharge
About my Behaviour:
I can be aggressive if I am in pain. But I am sure it is understandable, most people are grouchy when they are in pain.
A more calm quiet home would be great. One where I am the only pet. But I might be ok with a super cat-friendly senior cat who will let me do my own thing with slow proper introductions. No canines of any kind, please. Not even as a visitor. I am extremely fearful of them, even friendly ones.
How’s my Health?
I am fully vetted. I can NEVER be free-fed and I should stay on a wet-only diet. I had some issues with constipation on the dry and due to my old spinal injury, it was very uncomfortable. A high fibre wet food is best. I do need to slowly lose weight as well as I am very overweight. I was badly injured by a dog prior to first coming into care, I had a bad spinal injury that has healed but I more than likely have bad arthritis. It is important I continue my pain medication and weight loss. Losing the weight will help my joints feel a bit better as well.
