Rolls Garry   |   Male   |   Shy cutie (DSH)   |

Rescue Story:

I started my life hiding under a lady’s deck, where my mom was so shy that it took quite a while for the rescuers to catch us. It’s been a journey learning to trust humans, but after lots of patience and socialization, I’ve blossomed into a confident, loving kitten. I am now officially ready to find my forever family and move into a home where I can share all the snuggles I’ve been saving up!

Critter Twitter:

Hi, I'm Rolls! I may give a tiny hiss when we first meet, but that's just my shy side talking. Give me a little time—and maybe a snack—and you'll see I'm really a sweet, loving boy.

Once I feel comfortable, I'm all about attention. I love climbing all over my people, being held like a baby, and purring nonstop. I'm also a goofy little guy with very questionable coordination, so my playtime is usually pretty funny. Ball tracks and spring toys are my favorites, and food is definitely the fastest way to my heart.

I came into rescue as a scared kitten, but with patience and kindness I've learned that people can be wonderful. I'm growing into a big lovebug who wants to be close to my humans.

If you're looking for a loyal companion with a big heart, I think we'd be a perfect match. #shybutsweet

About my Behaviour:

I'd do best with a patient family who will let me settle in at my own pace. I also need a feline friend, and I'd be especially happy if I could go home with my sister Suzy—we're best buddies and help each other feel brave. Otherwise I would need another young cat friendly cat in the home.

I will need a calm, quiet home that is shy cat savvy or understanding about shy cats.

How’s my Health?

I am fixed, and I am microchipped, up to date vaccines, and dewormed. I must be fed at least one meal of wet food a day for hydration. Wet food is important, as it's best for kitties, so please make sure it's in my diet. Wet food is higher in protein and can be lower in carbs. It also gives added moisture, which is important, as dry-food-only-fed cats tend to be dehydrated, which can lead to UTIs. I am a polydactyl, meaning I have more toes than normal, be sure to keep them well trimmed. It would be good idea to have me be on gabapentin for the first month to help me settle in, or you can try other anxiety calming supplements to see if it helps.
